I’m slightly* obsessed with kidlit book recommendations.
As a parent of two young bookworms, I’m always on the lookout for new books.
As a bookworm myself, I love a good story. I don’t judge a book on the width of it’s spine.
As a writer, it’s even more important. I need to read books in my genre. It helps me understand my audience. It also helps me keep track of market trends.
You also learn a lot about good writing by reading widely. It seeps in and settles in the cracks of your brain. You can’t put your finger on this kind of knowledge. It lives in a hidden part of your brain but when you write, it will make itself known.
Luckily for me, Pinterest is a treasure trove of good recommendations.
I’m on a personal mission to gather all the kid’s book recommendations on Pinterest. At over 500 posts, I’ve made a good start. Head over and find some new favorites.
Any books to add?
